We are the HIGHLAND BRANCH LIBRARY and we are located at 971 South Ave. I'm the children's librarian, Alexandra Marris, and I’m starting up a new Tuesday morning story time at the library The age range for the story program is 18 months to 3 years. We meet at 10:00 on Tuesday mornings and do stories, songs, rhymes, puppets, and more. The program lasts about 20-25 minutes and afterward there is time for music and play. We hope to meet every Tuesday from December to March. It’s a great way to meet other families in the neighborhood and it’s FREE. Give me a call if you’d like more information: 428-8227. Hope to see you there!

PARK AVENUE -HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 3rd, 2009.
The HPNA will be Pac-Tac-ing on Park Ave. from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm.
We will meet at the NSC(NET) office at 846 S Clinton Avenue. . This is a fun event. The last time we walked it there were roasted chestnuts, several tastings , horse drawn wagon rides up and down the Ave. and people making ice sculptures with chainsaws.
Please email me at security@highlandparkrochester.org if you plan to attend our PAC-TAC walk. We would like to have a head count for Ofc. Goater so he knows how many of us he will be transporting up to Park Ave. Hope to see you there. Happy Holidays to All!

The Highland Park Neighborhood Association invites you to it's last event of 2009 Dec 8th 7pm - 9pm at the Monroe County Parks Department 171 Reservoir Ave in Highland Park. A new tradition: A Celebration, Review and Preview with a chance to shop! Watch a review of a year's worth of events and learn about our newest projects. Talk about the Buzz and upcoming meetings. This meeting will be light on presentation, with lots of time to enjoy refreshments, and to browse and talk - in the company of your friends and neighbors. Bring a Neighbor, and, if you have time, some of your best holiday cookies... but both are optional. Help us honor our many volunteers. Learn about how you can volunteer, join a team, or sign-up for an event. Visit with your friends and invited city leaders. There will be Door Prizes and a Raffle or two!! Buy Neighborhoods Gifts, New Calendars, Order Posters and 19th Century Reproductions not found anywhere else. RSVP: meeting@highlandparkrochester.org or 585-473-0026. The meeting is free. If you let us know how many people you are coming with, we will know how many munchies to bring, cookies to bake and how much cider to warm! But you can decide to come at the last minute too...it's a busy time of year!
